Named for the stocks in which medieval lawbreakers in the Oxfordshire town Woodstock were incarcerated, the Woodstock The Stocks Shiraz 2008 is sourced from 30 rows of century-plus old vines at Woodstock’s McLaren Flat vineyards. The nose reveals earth, chocmint and cedary oak while the palate opens with loads of dark berry fruits leading to a lingering mouthfeel and silken tannins. Now or in a decade.
