This McLaren Vale winery specialises in powerful but elegant reds, and it's hit the mark with this popular blend. It opens up with the dark cherry, plum and spice from the shiraz (70pc), then the blackberry from the cabernet (30pc) kicks in to give it a rich complexity and backbone. If you're a fan of lamb shanks, or are planning to throw some red meat on a barbecue, this will do the job perfectly. $18
